The School scouts and guides fellowship is a voluntary, non-political, social service organization of students in our school. The purpose of this Movement is to contribute to the development of young people in achieving their full physical, intellectual, emotional, social and spiritual potentials as individuals, as responsible citizens and as members of local, national and international communities.
Don Bosco Mithra School provides the taekwondo classes for children mainly focusing on exercise, discipline, self-defense. The students also gain greater flexibility, balance, coordination and aerobic fitness. A student’s self-confidence and self-esteem also increase as they progress through the ranks.
Don Bosco Mithra School offers Indian abacus programme for the students from 1 to 5. Our school children are trained in mental arithmetic calculations and attain speed and accuracy in calculations. They attain enhanced brain skills – ability to concentrate, ability to visualize the concepts, ability to listen well etc.
Our school provides students an opportunity to learn music and dance after the school hours. Classes on guitar, keyboard and western dance are taught under the supervision of the teacher. The school also has very good ensemble of the school band.
Creativity takes shape when the mind opens to the door of beauty. To find beauty in a broken tile or thrown bottle or to make paper come alive with colours is no ordinary feat. This freedom of expression is encouraged through art and craft classes for the students which are held once a week. Regular art competitions are also organized under inspiring guidance.
Don Bosco Mithra School provides excursion trips to various places for their leisure and learning. Children are very happy as they have free days to enjoy themselves with the appropriate safety measures accompanied by the teachers and Principal.
Special stress is laid in exposing a myriad of the latent talent among students through competitions such as Debate, Extempore, Recitation, Spell-bee, Dance, Music, G.K Quiz and Abacus which are held every month.
